    Everything´s great

I´m having so much fun! The more I´m here the more I think about how I´m not going to want to go back home. I really want to find a job and stay here. I feel in my heart that this is the place that I want to be like I´ve said before. I´ve been partying too much of late. I´ve only been here three days. Tomorrow I´m planning on going swimming which will be fun with some friends. I´ve met so many interesting people already, just think of how many more I wil meet in the months to come. I miss everyone back home though. I wish I could be two places at once. I have spent so much money already. I changed hotels today and the room is so cool. I´m staying at Hotel Colorado, but the receptionist kind of made me angry. When I asked the lady how much the rooms were per month she said $250. I went to go get the money and came back like a couple hours later and she said it´s $600 . I´m so pissed! I´m only staying there a week and then I´m going to change hotels.

    my first day

ok im so tired. i wasn{t able to sleep on the plane here and i only slept like three hours the night before. i hate customs they wouldn{t give me 90 days like i wanted so now i have to go to immigration here in playa del carmen in order to see if i can extend  them and pay a fee which is only $20 so it isn{t that bad. It just takes time out of my day and it{s a lot of running around. Im having fun though seeing my friends. Its so nice to talk with them again and be able to catch up on stuff. i love them so much. i do miss all my friends back home but this is sure to be an adventure. i{m going to post my pics that i took later.

    This Saturday

I leave this saturday and I'm so excited. I have so much to do but I really don't  mind now. I can't wait to see all my friends but I'm going to miss my friends here. My last day at work was Sunday and it felt weird to walk out of there knowing it was my last day for three months. I just hope my Spanish improves beyond belief. I think it's pretty good right now but when I get my Master's I need to be almost fluent or fluent. I know three months won't do it but it will help.

    12 days!

12 more days until I leave for playa. Que emocionada estoy! I can't wait until I see my friends and see the ocean. I have so much to do though...I have to pack up not only my clothes for going there but also everything in my room because I'm going to move in with my friend when I get back. I'm going to miss everyone here a lot but to tell you the truth, it's going to be nice to get away and experience something different for awhile. Maybe I can learn some new things about myself and learn how to be peaceful and not so stressed out all the time.

Things are looking up for me though. My parents are taking over the lease on my car because I won't be able to pay rent and car payments. So I'm going to buy a used car when I get back.

    An encouraging poem

    You can only become
    truly accomplished
    at something you love.

    Don't make money
    your goal.

    Instead,
    pursue the things
     you love doing,
    and then do them
    so well
    that people can't take
    their eyes off you.

                                                   -Maya Angelou

I really like that poem. It reminds me that I need to keep on going to pursue my dreams. Also that I need to get a job that I enjoy rather than just working at one in order to survive. Life is too short to waste doing something that you don't like. God made us to enjoy life, not to squander it.

BTW, I went out last night and here are some of the fotos that I took of me and my friend Janine.

    Chinese Proverbs

I absolutely love Chinese Proverbs. Did you know Chinese is the perfect language in which to make up short, catchy phrases? Or so I've heard! These are some of my favorites:

1)A bottle half filled tends to rock.
Moral- Still water runs deep. When someone has a lot of
learning, he or she still wants to learn more; only
those who know a little brag a lot.

                 2) Draw a cake to satisfy one's hunger.
Moral- An unrealistic solution to a problem serves no other
                               purpose than self deception.

                 3) Drinking with a bosom friend, a thousand shots are too few;
Talking with a disagreeable person, half a sentence is too
                     many.
                     Moral- Self- explanatory

                 4) 50 steps laugh at 100 steps.
Moral- Don't gloat over others' mistakes while you are making
the same ones in a different fashion.

                 5) A friend made is a road paved; and enemy created is a wall
                     built.
                     Moral- Self- explanatory.

Here's the link where I got these catchy phrases, see if you can pick out a favorite! http://www.wku.edu/~yuanh/China/proverb.html

BTW, I got my money back from that school. Now I have extra money for my trip. I've decided I'm going to try to find a place to stay when I get there. I'm not going to stress about it. I went to the salon today and my stylist was talking about how the gas prices are high and they're going to be higher this summer. I looked at her and I was like, "I'm not going to be here!" I laughed. She smiled and said she was pissed at me. Oh Well!
